SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Communicating in Spanish as a second language
was considered as a “nice secondary skill”
in the past – today it is a necessity for
millions of business people, professionals,
and government workers who need to broaden
their personal and professional goals. The
world is becoming increasingly multi-lingual
and Spanish is the leading language.
Why learn Spanish with ENTRENA in the Dominican Republic?
We have 20 years of experience with students
from a diversity of backgrounds, ages, needs,
and learning styles. Renown organizations with
professional standards such as Peace Corps,
universities, and diplomatic missions use our
services.
The Dominican Republic provides an excellent
environment for learning Spanish. The warm and
outgoing Dominican population is easy to
engage in practice conversation and patient
and helpful with foreigners learning Spanish.
With an excellent climate and diversity of
beaches, mountains, museums, and nightlife to
experience, our students quickly fall in love
with the DR.
Individual tailored instruction that takes
into account the uniqueness of your
background, personality, and previous learning
experiences. ENTRENA designs a program that
captures the richness of your diversity rather
than imposing upon you a totally
pre-determined program.
Professional entry and outgoing evaluations
based upon the ACTFL (American Council of
Teachers of Foreign Language) scale.
Monitoring of your progress is frequent with
feedback and counseling where necessary.
Integration with cultural adaptation themes
and homestays with carefully selected and
oriented Dominican families. Enjoy an
immersion experience with a Dominican family
surrounded by Spanish speakers, learn to dance
the meringue or play dominoes, and discover
the underlying messages of indirect,
non-verbal, and non-committal communication
styles.
Proven methodology based upon practicality,
contextually focused for quick application,
comprehension-based, individuality, daily
homework, curriculum with competencies, and
learning contracts. In an ENTRENA program, you
“learn how to learn” which facilitates
your on-going study of Spanish once our
program finishes.
How much will it cost?
ENTRENA offers three basic programs for you to
choose from. All programs include
